We lost N24DR last Sept 2019. Also two great pilots, Douglas R Taylor, owner and Donald Peterson. They had flew from Laredo with a stop in Tenn, then on to Toledo Oh where it all ended around 2:30 in the morning. I read that they had a load of car parts and had lost a engine on final approach. Not enough time or altitude to recover I'm guessing . I think they did a lot of car parts cargo flying. I had been following N24DR for years on flightaware. It was a dream of mine to get to fly with them on one of their many midnight runs. I had went to bed when they were still airborne with my wife waking me the next morning with news of a aircraft going down in Oh. As soon as I saw the news on tv, the picture of that big ass tail, I knew that it was N24DR. It's true, nothing last forever, we all will see death one day, but it hurts. I hate getting old, I hate seeing people and aircraft I knew for all my life, come to a end. It's sad, but it's life. The two pilots and N24DR had a lifetime of flying the world. I can only hope and pray, that we will all meet again.
