More great 5* clicks from past years, T. Neat catch of this old -200. I flew America West four times in the time frame that their fleetbirds wore this paint. Each trip was quite "unique." The MOST unique flight was from PHX to BOS. The seat back was broken. It was fully flopped back - totally flat - into the lap of the guy behind me. The flight was fully booked. The guy behind me warned me (while we were still getting seated) that if I reported it, I'd get bumped off because all seats had to be able to be locked into the full upright position. He then swapped his seat with his small son so that the boy was behind me. I held on to the seat back until we were well on our way. Then I reported it to the stew. First, she was POed because she thought I had done it. Then, when the people behind me spoke up, she was POed that I had not reported it prior to takeoff. When I asked what would have happened if I had reported it, she said I'd have been taken off and given a seat on a later flight. We finally managed to jam it into a (mostly) upright position with pillows and blankets stuffed into the frame. lol

Now that is a 5* "trick" on the FA. Good one. My ex flew these quite a bit SJC-PHX going to visit her sister in PHX area and she said they were pretty good flights...no broken seats. LOL! Thanks for posting the story, and thank you!
