A G-159 and Gulfstream 1,or G1 are one and the same plane.
G-159 is the manufacturers designation for the G1.
G1's first flew in 1958 and over 200 were produced when production ended in 1969.

Right on jim! She had the RR Dart turboprops the same as in the F27. But the G1 was probably 40 knots faster with a 7,000 pound lighter airframe. We had the same RR fuel trim prayer wheel as is featured in the nice shot of the G1 overhead panel. I just wish we could have planned on 280 knots TAS in the F27!
