Beechcraft Mentor (16-4162)
"Devil 3" departing RWY 27 in Tallahassee. Thought the USN retired the T-34C's?
Comments
No "N" number on the aircraft and was using a military call-sign.. pretty sure it's not civilian owned.
Last I knew, they still had a few they used for running around, but I don't think they do any heavy training with them.
They are still in use by the Navy as spotter / strike eval aircraft. I've got snaps of two of them (16-0472 and one other) as they returned to NAS Fallon following TG training exercises.
Cool! Thanks Gary for the info. I was curious.. We used to see them all the time here at TLH when they were still heavily in use, now it's rare to see one!
