That "dove" looks the size of a great blue heron--chasing down the aircraft!

I took this photo from the Valhalla Memorial Park, which is adjacent to the airport. There are numerous bird species out there. When I was photographing this airplane, the dove simply flew into the frame. The illusion that the bird is so big - relative to the plane - is simply because the Dove was much closer to me (to the lens) than the aircraft. Anyone can see that the plane is sharply in the focus, whereas the Dove is out of focus (very different distance from the lens). It seems like the Dove is flying right behind the plane, but in reality it was just flying in its parallel course, significantly sideways. My telephoto lens (I used a 100-400 mm zoom-telephoto) had compressed the distance, creating this "pursuit" illusion.
