McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet (18-8934)
Very low, high speed afterburner pass and left break.
Epic shot and catch! That must have been an awesome experience!
Spectacular Photo Dean.....
Magnificent photo. Great catch!
Holy moly, what a spectacular catch - wow.
er should this not be a CF-18
Indeed Al, a CF-18B with big fuel capacity as indicated. Extended run?
Man what a shot , What was the circumstances that you were able to make this great action photo ?
Not even fear!
Great shot, yes. --But why?? The pilot's a jerk? Maybe the photo needs a bit more context, but that LOOKS unbelievably DANGEROUS. WHY do something like that?
Great catch. Must have sounded amazing!
Thanks for all the comments. This two-seater CF-18, flown by LCol Tim "Donor" Woods, arrived at Gatineau for a ground school session with Vintage Wings for those interested in handling the aircraft on the ground. Since I am an airplane marshaller, I needed to attend this ground school, so that I could marshall it in for airshows. The last two summers, I had to opportunity to marshall in the demo hornets, which is quite a thrill. Cheers!
la vitesse de l'avion ne corresponds pas avec le bokeh
