Great photo. BTW, this is the Canadian version of the USAF model F-80 Shooting Star.

Remember these as a boy in Canada. There were still over 50 aircraft in Canadian Forces inventory in 1995.

I flew the Canadair version with the RR Nene instead of the General Electric model at AFS (RCAF Macdonald) and it was a superb jet trainer. It's only vice was that if you spun it above 35,000 it was alleged to tumble rather than spin and you had to wait till nearer 20.000 to rectify the situation. Answer was never spin it at high altitude.

Alan this is the Canadian version of the T-33 with the rolls Royce engine, it is registered to Ace Maker Aviation in CA.

Over a 1000 hours of memories in the T-33.
Great fun!

Could this also be an Impala, as flown by the South African Air Force also known to be made by FIAT?
G Zorbas
On taking a closer look, the two aircraft look similar (as far as the wing tanks go) but the intakes on the Impala are not in the same place as the N133HH. Thanks for posting the photo, it did bring back some good memories of decades gone by.

G Zorbas... you are remembering the Macchi MB-326, built in Italy by Aermacchi. The MB-326K version of this aircraft was also licensed for production in South Africa as the Impala Mk I and Mk II by Atlas Aircraft. It shared design characteristics of wing tanks, tandem seating, and a single jet engine with Lockheed's T-33, which was a development of Lockheed's earlier P-80 Shooting Star fighter aircraft.

Thanks Cliff, the extra gen on this kite is much appreciated. :)
P.S. My apologies for the late reply.
