FlightAware Announces Worldwide Flight Tracking For Select Garmin Aircraft
LAS VEGAS (October 22, 2013) - FlightAware announced today that aircraft operators with Iridium-equipped flight decks equipped with Garmin avionics, may now downlink their positions while in flight and use FlightAware for worldwide flight tracking.
Operators of aircraft equipped with select Garmin avionics may use Garmin's new position reporting service that was announced today to send FlightAware downlinks of GPS-derived positions via Iridium satellites. The live data from Garmin avionics is seamlessly integrated with FlightAware's other worldwide flight plan and flight position data sources to provide a comprehensive flight tracking solution on FlightAware.com and FlightAware mobile apps.

FlightAware's leading web-based flight tracking services offer live flight following, interactive maps, schedule information, delay details, weather, movement alerts, and reporting products for business aviation, airlines, air navigation service providers, airports, FBOs, and more.
Customers may choose to have their positions publicly available on FlightAware.com with other public data sources, or may optionally subscribe to FlightAware Global, which offers privacy management and integrates flight plans and other air traffic control data sources from over 45 countries in Europe, North America, and Oceania.
