Thanks for posting this and to all those who added links to more information. This is the best of our country. People just doing their jobs and along the way, honoring those who have given their all. They are not looking for glory or recognition for themselves, they are honoring those who truly deserve it.
This article talks about "flashy" aspects only; not the positive uses. When Cessna introduced the original Citation, we sold some to individuals, but most to company accountants. That is still true today. The ability to get to a destination, or destinations, in a minimal time at peak efficiency is a major reason to own a corporate aircraft. When you can visit 3-4 sites, get your business done, and return home in one day; it is a good and proper use.
I won't dwell on it, but you might remember how many people aviation manufacturing employs (or did before we became "BAD") and how many aircraft were sold overseas to the benefit of our trade deficit.
This does't say if this ban is for the cabin or includes the cargo area.
Either should be considered. I don't know how to post them here, but I have some pictures of the results after a pit bull got loose in a Boeing 757 fwd cargo area. It chewed through a bulkhead and the aircraft lost TCAS , both ATC transponders and a VHF/VOR receiver.
It is a Cessna designed aircraft, built in China and assembled by an approved service facility (not Cessna owned). Regardless, as several others have stated no aircraft can survive a stupid pilot. Remember all the hype about the little girl "flying" cross country who crashed in Cheyenne? She had a flight instructor with her who apparently had no experience with mountain flying. If you don't think you have to follow the laws of physics, eventually they will get you.
