Planned LAX Worker March To Cause Traffic Delays On Thanksgiving Eve

Submitted
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of employees at Los Angeles International Airport will walk off the job Wednesday on what is traditionally known as one of the busiest travel days of the year. As many as 1,000 airport workers with the Service Employees International Unit (SEIU) and union supporters are expected to march on Century Boulevard between noon and 2 p.m. in protest of what they are calling unfair labor practices. SEIU is one of the most militant and greedy unions in the country, but unfortunately the present administration holds them close due to their political support and donations. How many families did they inconvenience yesterday and how many little kids' little hearts were broken because of their greed and utter disregard for the people who's taxes pay their wages?

By the way, no one walked off their job to take part in this obstruction. These were all union goons bussed in from other areas, issued T-shirts, and told to get in front of the cameras.

The union does not represent anyone at the airport.

Typical selfish union scum. They don't give a frigging thing about others. They don't care if they cost others time and money. The same <S>tupid and <E>xceptionally <I>diotic <U>informed jackasses staged a strike at the Port of Oakland. Did they care one bit that they were costing the truckers entering the port $500 a day or more? No. All they cared about was getting a free ride from the public. Heaven forbid they should actually pay a small bit for their own retirement!

Unions in the public sector need to go the way of the dodo bird - they need to become extinct!

What is strange, if I am reading that article right, is that they decertified the union almost a year ago

The company used to provide security for airlines, but lost that role to the TSA years ago. They now provide the wheelchair pushers. The company offered a better package to the employees than the union did. The employees voted the union out. Their choice.

The union simply wants the dues to line their pockets and press their political programs on the rest of society.

This same union is also involved in giving fake signatures to a petition to stabilize public pensions in Los Angeles. They are doing this to derail the ballot measure by spoiling the random sample count used by the election officials to certify the total signatures needed for the measure to be placed on the ballot.

The public officials that issued the SEIU a permit to shut down an airport access point should be criminally charged by the Attorney General for obstruction of air operations. Eric Holder, are you listening?

You mean Eric Holder as in Eric "I'm just as corrupt as Obama, Daley, and other Chicago City Officials" Holder?
