Boeing 777X : Almost ready to fly

The plane has two versions, the 777-8, and the longer variant 777-9. The first prototype is the 252,6 ft (77 meters) long 777-9. It has a wingspan of 236.2 ft (72 meters) including the 11.1 feet-long (3.4 meters) foldable wingtips. That makes the 777-9 longer and larger (in terms of wingspan) than the Boeing 747. Just curious. This sounds like it was written originally in another language and (hopefully) machine translated into English. Anybody have an idea where the original was? (Or is the "editorial staff" of this website ignorant of usual English usage?)
