United adds Chicago-Champaign flights as part of domestic push

Some of United Airlines' newest destinations from Chicago — Champaign, Columbia, Mo., and Rochester, Minn. — don't sound like travel hot spots. But they're part of United's push to win back market share in its domestic hubs, including O'Hare International Airport, lost during the airline's years as a "docile competitor," said United President Scott Kirby. Envoy has Champaign pretty much locked up. Better they use MDW - better flying time and no one is commercially using it to CMI

The same could be said for Rochester, both American and Delta have a lock hold on traffic, what little there is. It will be interesting to see who in the long run wins out.
