Standard family response: "My son is a good boy who suffers from (Insert excuse or victim status here) and is not responsible for his actions.

We really should number all the well utilized excuses. 1. Bigotry, 2. Homophobia; 3. PTSD 4. ADHD; 5. Racism; 6. paranoia;....etc to save having to go through the usual litany.

Sure enough. It wasn't his fault the cigarettes were 25 cents cheaper than he paid at the airport so we will release him on bail. Pitiful.

His family says "We called the police for help more than 23 times in the last two to three years . . . " Mental illness is a terrible disease to deal with, buy maybe he should not have been on an airplane.

So the SWAT team comes charging onto the plane with rifles raised, yelling "Heads down, hands up", and somebody goes on filming . . . brilliant.
