I see a lot of problems with this new design, not the least of which is that it depends a great deal on having space for your feet under the seat in front of you. The design completely overlooks the fact that carry-on bags need to be able to go there.

Agree. Good luck to anyone trying to use the space under my seat, which is always jammed with my gear.
