Mayday - Qantas 32 - Titanic in the sky

Submitted
On 4 November 2010, Qantas Flight 32, en route to Sydney's Kingsford Smith Airport, suffered an uncontained engine failure in its No.2 engine shortly after take-off. The crew managed to overcome a number of resulting failures and make an emergency landing back at Singapore. There were 469 passengers and crew on board. There were no injuries to the passengers, crew or people on the ground; debris from the aircraft fell onto the Indonesian island of Batam. (www.planecrashes.org) More...
