Delta Air Lines Slapped with $750,000 Fine for Violating Bumping Rules
As I sit here in the Kempinski Airport Hotel in Munich, I can personally verify that times has changed at Delta. They made me a sweet offer to give up my seat today to Atlanta. I jumped at it. Read the story about the fine for violating the rules! (airnation.net) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
I remember when Aeroflot was advised to be avoided not only because it was a product of the Soviets but that it's equipment was unreliable and the crews typical of government employees with a complete disregard for customer safety and service.....In February 2013 I flew US Air BOS to OGG and back......I would have gladly traded that itinerary for an Aeroflot one.
I have flown all over the world. I tell friends if they ever fly on Emirates, Ethiad, or Qatar Airways they will never want to fly on a U. S.-based airline again. Point emphasized on my trip last week. My seat headrest did not work and my entertainment center was broken as well. I told two "senior" flight attendants about them and asked them to write-up the problem. "I'll get back to you," never happened. Union rules keep the old heads on the overseas flights and customer service suffers. I will admit in some areas there has been vast improvement, but much needs to be done.
I only hope that the recent incident of their CEO-Customer offering his seat to a lady translates into the attitude of the entire organisation , irrespective of their functional area .
