If this is proven true in the history book, then the German was the lead in design and making of aircraft since then up till the end of the WWII (please correct me if I am wrong.)

Another rumor is, they were taught their "trade" by a gentleman, in what is now Silicon Valley (San Jose) California in the east foothills area, then departing to return to NC, claiming "First In Flight" with no credit or mention to their mentor

Yeah, he's been kinda quiet since Donna reamed him last week. As tuff and crusty as he is though, I doubt he'll let that bother him though.lol
