We shouldnt have to be paying for the extras...The airlines have brainwashed people into thinking that they NEED to select what they should pay for above the cost of the ticket. Shame on the airlines for using such a blatant means to fleece the travelling public. Isnt this collusion?

If you go to the movie theater do you want to pay an extra $10-20 per ticket for soda, popcorn and sweets even if you don't want them? Airlines are giving consumers the choice on what they want to pay for and what not to pay for.

Airlines could return to the old "all-inclusive" model but airfares would rise back to what they used to be. Airfares, adjusted for inflation, have fallen since the year 2000 even with oil prices going up.
