GE Aviation lands $1B contract with Air Force

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force has awarded a $1 billion contract to GE Aviation to further develop an advanced jet engine for sixth-generation fighter jets, the company announced Thursday. The three-stream adaptive cycle engine program will support the jobs of 400 engineers, officials said.
