Perhaps it is nostalgia, but the rustic airport, with a decent restaurant, and nice folks running the airline counters was good enough. It was about the business of flying someplace, and the airport was for hanging out until the flight boarded. I want to be excited about the flight, not about an airport sushi and racket ball facility. I used to take new dates to the TWA terminal at JFK for coffee, and the sight and smells of the airport were always awesome. PS I also went on more expensive dates too :)
Looks pretty, but i doubt it will ever "take off". It would cost a fortune to run and pay for the airport. The indoor pond/pool is a nice setting though.
