It was actually designated as XFC-130H while in this configuration. The YMC-130H designation was applied later when one of the three aircraft (74-1686) served as a prototype for the MC-130H Combat Talon. In other words, the aircraft in the video (s/n 74–1683) was never a YMC-130H. That designation was assigned to 74-1686 in July 1981, more than seven months after 74-1683 crashed on 29 October 1980.
I've seen the C-130 rocket assisted take-off demonstration at the MCAS Cherry Point show years ago, and while nothing like this, was pretty impressive. This level of rocket assist is on a WHOLE 'nother level. Pretty cool.
