FlightAware is proud to announce pre-arrival flight alerts, the latest FlightAware.com Flight Alert feature for passengers, pilots, airport operators, or anyone tracking a flight. If you've setup arrival alerts on any flight (airline or private), FlightAware will now automatically notify you when the flight is 45 minutes prior to landing. (flightaware.com) More...
For some reason the Advanced Alert is not working for me. I have tried the alert to notify me 60 min. down to 10 min on numerous flights, but, it does notify me when the plan arrives at the gate.
I set it to advise for two flights, for the first one it advised 20 minutes after the flight arrived, for the second one it did not advise at all. Both were set at 45 minutes before arrival and both flights were hours away from arrival.
Great, makes airport life much less stressful for both those arriving and those waiting.....I do not own a cell as I am very deaf so this works out to perfection.
J.C., in the aviation world,ENGLISH is the common spoken word. This is a aviation site, and it would be nice to know what is being said? Not to put down ANY person writing, but I(we)don't know if it could be something harmful being said!
I want to track my planes but I don't need 45min notice. Half of our flights are only about 45min or not much more. On multi leg days it can get annoying. I only have one of them set up now because I'm always on the other and I can usually keep track of myself. Every alert sets up a new conversation on my phone.
