Must be the next phase for Flight Tracker. Lots of flight paths going on on my tracker tonight. Seems to to be a bit more colorful too. Anyone else noticing this? (flightaware.com) More...
It is still kind of hard to track when the view is aviation sectional. Would it be better if the planes and type was black in the view? Other than that I love it and it looks great.
Been following you guys from almost the beginning. The steady upgrades have been fantastic! So happy with what you have done to this site. Great work gang!

I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WHEN I AM ON FLIGHT TRACKER.IN THE REGULAR SCREEN I SEE THE AIRCRAFT INORMATION BUT WHEN I EXPAND THE SCREEN I LOSSE THE AIRCRAFT INFORMATION ? CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS THE AIRCRAFT ALSO DO NOT ADVANCE ON THE EXPANDED SCREEN. EVERYTHING IS OK ON REGULAR SCREEN
I like FA but I think Australia is a forgotten Country when compared to data available to US users. It would be nice addition to FA if we here in Australia could display data similar to the US maps, as well as details such as:
A) Flight Sectors B) Weather C) Major Waypoints* D) Major Flight Paths* E) Major Towns & their airports. **
As an ex-pilot and workshop production manager I like to listen to the Airband while watching and tracking flights over Australia. Due to Rx linking in my region, I am able to monitor any flight in the YBBB Centres & YBBN Control Zones. I was grounded on medical conditions
1) * Details available: http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/pending/dah/dah.pdf 2) ** FA does not display any airports when you select “Nearby Airports” from the menu. The only airports displayed are the Capital Cities and one major International airport Cairns (YBCS). E.g. Try entering YBBN or Brisbane and see what I mean. Major airports such Archerfield YBAF; Sunshine Coast YBSU; Gold Coast YBCG & lesser airports YCDR; YRED; YAMB (Mil); YTWB; YBOK (Mil) etc are not shown.
http://webtrak.bksv.com/bne is an Airservice Australia site to allow monitoring of acft noise, therefore has limited range, but it shows a lot of detail e.g. Helicopters; Light Acft & Heavies are clearly defined and you can see the locality position clearly.
What I don't like is that the flights from the past now show the current radar. Here is an example. There was no rain on this route when I flew it. Now it is raining in Houston on 6/8 at 6 p.m. ... and it shows the current radar. Am I just missing something?
South Africa is not currently in our primary service area, so we only have limited flight data for certain airlines that might operate there, and not any GA flights.
