Totally agree. I mean at least fly a couple of circles to get down low enough. I mean a jam pitch trim isn't enough of an aircraft the size of an ATR to do that kind of approach. I do hope that the passengers survivied the landing.
WOW! I have seen some pilots do some interesting landings (like a CRJ landing on a 5800ft runway but touching down at least half way down)but this one is a little crazy! You could definitely tell they were way too high...I am surprised that the didn't go around!
Navy carrier aviator, or what? I would have to call this the 'kamikaze approach'. Similar to the overhead 360, but without the 360. Can they still use the airplane?
THAT WAS A HARD LANDING. IF I WAS ON THE PLANE I WOULD HAVE SICK ALL OF THE PLACE. I WAS WOUNDERING WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THERE HEAD WHEN THE WARNING WAS TELLING THEM TO PULL UP?
