Its sad but this happens all to frequently. In a previous life I worked at a trauma center with a busy helipad and have been witness to more than one close call. Most vivid is when a local ems helicopter was preparing to depart as an out of county guy was coming over the top of our parking garage on a blind approach. They literally were less than 10 ft from having a really bad night.
