I was there watching it taxi out in DEN They had to wait over 20 minutes on taxi out before 17 R became available... That's some expensive Picture... It was a hazy day too couldn't even see the Rockies.

Southwest dedicates "Colorado One" plane

Colorado One Stats
Release Date: August 22, 2012
Process Time: 8 Days
Number of People: 35 over 3 shifts
Total Gallons of Paint: 74
Premask: None
One of the largest challenges was laying out the “C” design free hand while keeping the circle perfect with the contour of the plane and only using the mylar as a guide. This aircraft is 100% clear coated to ensure paint longevity. Clear coat alone was 32 gallons.
