Centrally situated in the heart of downtown Seattle, the Hotel Max is walking distance to Pike's Place Market, downtown restaurants, shopping, Seattle Art Museum and so much more! The hotel accomodations 30 local artists and nine local photographers in the guest rooms and in the corridors.

The most innovative artists adorn the hotel with their creations as all pieces were commissioned just for Max. Tony Evanko, an internationally recognized artist styleed a feature piece for the lobby utilizing his concepts of communication and ambiguity using graphs, maps, codes and alphabets.

Among other well-established artists who are featured in the lobby and in the guest rooms are Jackie Barnett, Andre Carter, Jay Backstrand, Junko Yamamoto and Pam Baker. In addition, an array of one-of-a-kind photographs canvas the guestroom doors by a list of talented photographers, including John Armstrong, Roniq Bartanen and Charles Peterson.

* * *	I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a conference. the hotel was hip but for the money, i think the w would have been a better bet for the hipster set, as this was situated a few blocks from the core of downtown and doesn’t have the nightlife of the. . .

* * *	Nice enough...clean, and in a central venue. my room is a little small but the bed is comfy and clean. dell lcd tv's in bedroom with usual hotel remote. bathroom very small. no tub. very euro-like. if you can get it for a good price then its a go. . .
