| The Booker - Lewis House Description | The Booker - Lewis House User Reviews | ||||||
"Located in the Historic District in Leesville, the Booker Lewis House was built circa 1905 by Mr. H. T. Booker. A noted local dentist, Dr. Frank Taylor Lewis, married Ollie Booker, Mr. Booker's daughter, and the couple continued living in the manor. The manor was purchased from the Lewis family in 2001. With a restoration that took over four years to complete, this exextensive of Queen Anne Colonial Revival retains many of the original windowpanes and the Louisiana yellow pine that was used to create the door facings, walls and floors. All four of the pocket doors are original as are the light fixtures in the dining room and foyer. Conveniently situated just off US 171 in Leesville, The Booker - Lewis House is the premier lodging choice for area travelers provideing unequalled service, comfort and ambience." |
