Sorry to rain on your parade, Todd. Summit Lake, AK (52Z). 31 miles north of Seward, AK (PAWD). PAWD METAR as follows: 181353Z AUTO 19016G32KT 3SM +RA BR FEW036 BKN047 OVC060 12/12 A2970 RMK....Rainy & windy, humidity 100%. Other than that, a lovely place.
Roy, a very nice picture, Thank you very much!!
CHRIS ROBEY
Thanks David! For the uninitiated, BR is "Mist". Should you ever happen to see "MI" stated, well, that means "Shallow". Gotta love those METARS.

Somewhat sadly, the FAA registration for this nice 1968 Cessna 172 Skyhawk expired and was cancelled on 04/19/2018. Perhaps someone knows some particulars therein.

Thanks for a good photo. It looks very nice, but as a South African we would not appreciate that weather.

I always look at FlightAware's pics. Love them. But sick of looking at planes with Boeing or Airbus painted on the side. Really; how many 737's taking off, landing or just parked does one need?

Photos like this one are the best!! And that's a great photo.

Great Photo. Serenity.
You have to wonder how old this pic is. The registration was canceled some time ago. But wait...it's Alaska where the main rule is: There are no rules.

What a gorgeous photo--
Of course the scenery isn't too bad either!

Beautiful photo! So.o. peaceful. Just before summer Solstice.

Must not be any rules, I don't see any N numbers on the supercub. LOL
Champdriver
Sonny Raburn, certain aircraft can display 2" N numbers because of their age, no rules are being ignored here. You just can't see them in this excellent photo.

Here's just a stupid observation on my part...
After 60 votes (as of 26 June 2018), this pic has an average star rating (according to FA) of 4.64.
I am fully aware that everyone has different tastes and standards, but...
A part of me wonders "What's not to like about this pic? This should be a 5.0 across the board!"
I'm certainly not intending to discount anyone's opinion - don't take me wrong - it's just one of those random thoughts that sometimes run through my head!
Viv Pike
@ corsair2 - just my two cents opinion on your observation. Whilst it is a fabulous photograph, some people see FA as a "plane spotting" website, and not an art gallery. So I could understand how some might vote 4 stars for a "good photo" of scenery and not the 5 stars for an "excellent" photo of an aircraft. Just my opinion. Great photo nonetheless.
David Seider
@ Viv Pike: OK, that makes sense. I can see how some folks might have that point-of-view.
And yes, indeed, this is a beautiful photo!
