I flew in a Pan Am 747Sp from Miami to LAX, I remember thinking its rate of climb was far better than a normal 747 -- we were at altitude quickly. Are any of the SP's still flying?
Yes, there are some Middle Eastern countries that use them. Also some one-off uses like this one by Pratt & Whitney for testing.
