I saw this plane taking off from Las Vegas a few weeks back. Beautiful bird!
The better looking tri-engine wide-body built in the US, IMHO!
I have seen them land at Burbank (Bob Hope), and turn-off before the N-S runway. Always on the Spot, as the autopilot flew a set "Angle of Attack" and Airspeed. Delta pilots who everything else loved the L-1011.
Gorgeous photo of a gorgeous aircraft
So true Andre! These looked great in either Delta or Air Canada liveries! Cheers!
TWA flew one out of Indy for years to St. Louis and LA; something about that widebody! I always booked my west coast travel on it!
