I see that IF this picture is correct ? that the plane looks about to HIT the Poles or At least the Cables hanging from them ? plus I notice a MAN standing on the road far too close to the Aircraft maybe ?

The photo is authentic. This scene was a common sight where cotton was grown in that era. The man in the road is the flagman for the cropdusting pilot... and yes, they often flew between the utility and telephone poles, under those cables.
