Baker has served as a consultant and speaker for Fortune 500 companies as well as technology companies internationally and is a frequent presenter at technology conferences. Baker holds an FAA Commercial Pilot certificate.

Karl Lehenbauer, Chief Technology OfficerLehenbauer is a founding employee of FlightAware and has served as Chief Technology Officer since 2005. He brings decades of experience at managing the development of large, real-time, mission critical applications. He is regarded as an Internet pioneer and was the founder of the first Internet Service Provider in the Southern United States, which he sold in the 1990s for $8M in cash. Previously, Lehenbauer served as an architect and developer for GE Aircraft Engines control and structural life in-flight management systems. Lehenbauer is the co-creator of the TclX programming language and is also a contributor to The Apache Project among other open source Internet projects and protocols that he has been contributing to since 1986. Lehenbauer is an avid philanthropist, cyclist, and lives with his wife and two daughters. He holds an FAA pilot certificate.

David McNett, Chief Information OfficerMcNett is a founding employee of FlightAware and has served as Chief Information Officer since 2005. McNett brings over 20 years of experience as a technology developer and manager of massive, disparate mission critical applications and projects. McNett is a worldwide technologist with experience managing enterprise data applications on six continents at companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Kaiser Permanente, and NTT Data/DoCoMo. McNett regularly serves as a panel member and speaker at major technology conferences. He was a founder of distributed.net, which pioneered distributed computing in the 1990s, and continues to serve as the President and Chairman. McNett holds an FAA pilot certificate.

Shawn Sullivan, Chief Strategy OfficerSullivan has served as Chief Strategy Officer since 2008. Previously, he held a variety of positions in investment banking, capital markets, institutional sales and sales management. Sullivan brings over 25 years of strategic and financial experience driving high growth companies in a broad range of industries. His passions include reading American history and classic American literature. A native New Yorker that has completed seven marathons, Shawn has recently relocated to Houston. Sullivan holds FAA Airline Transport Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor certificates.

Mark Duell, Vice President, OperationsDuell is a founding employee of FlightAware and served as Director of Quality Assurance from 2005 to 2007 and Vice President, Operations from 2008 to the present. He brings experience in concept development, design implementation, and technical analysis from engineering positions at the Air Force Research Laboratory and GE Aviation. Duell has a strong background in the aviation business and is a published author on the subject of aerospace engineering. Duell earned a BSc. Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds an FAA pilot certificate.
